I think that we should have a good model of taxes and online gambling and online poker should be left out of the equation because we already paid tax and the redistribution of pure money by skill and luck should not be taxed…

It’s unfortunate that it takes the promise of tax revenue for the federal government to respect individual freedom.

I understand what you’re saying — and agree that it’s unfortunate — but slacking up on the chain enough to get a better grip on the hide just isn’t the same thing as respecting individual freedom.

Things the government lets you do in exchange for a tax are not related to individual liberty at all. Your sentence about respect for individual freedom misses the freedom part.

There should never have been a bill banning online gambling to begin with (actually, gambling online isn’t illegal, it’s only illegal for the banks to give money to known gambling sites). Now we need Frank to introduce his decriminalization of Marijuana bill!
