In Which Leon Lott Offers to Send His SWAT Team to Delaware

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Drug War Joe Biden’s daughter may have been caught on video snorting cocaine.

Can’t wait for Biden’s press conference on Monday, where he’ll call for all of the draconian laws he has sponsored over the years to be fully enforced against his kid, including the forfeiture of all of her property, and the use of the videotape as probable cause for a Byrne Grant-funded multi-jurisdictional SWAT team to raid her home in the middle of the night. At that point, Biden will call for the local cops will turn her case over to the feds, who, per Biden’s own favored policies over the years, will then liberally apply RICO and conspiracy statutes to find some way, any way, to rope her in on federal drug-related charges so she can then get hit with the applicable federal mandatory minimum prison sentence.

Chickens. Home. Roosting. All that.

Kidding, of course. Drug Czar Joe will probably just issue a press statement declaring that this is a “family” or “private” matter, and that he has no further comment. And his daughter will get preferential treatment. Just like all the other drug warriors who have had family caught breaking their precious drug laws.

I’m sorry for the girl but it’s poetic justice that Biden’s finally finding out how it feels to be on the other end of it. Hopefully he wakes up and thinks about it. Maybe something good can come out of this.

JS, why be sorry for the girl? Nobody forced her to snort coke.

Unless you’re sorry she’s Biden’s daughter. Then, I’m with you.

Brock I just meant I feel bad for the girl because she did what a lot of young people do but because she’s Biden’s daughter she’ll get all that publicity. Its not her fault who her dad is.

There is no way that this will cause Biden even a modicum of nasty self-reflection. Because a rich kid doing a little “experimenting” is just part of growing up, and completely different from the drug users that these laws target…right?

A social worker for the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Families apparently breaking the law? On videotape? Knowingly?

What was she, on drugs or something?

Can you imagine if she was busted for drugs, say…in a Governor’s mansion or the White House?

Imagine being the lucky person who got to tell the drug warrior/elected official that forfeiture laws required the eviction of the tenants, asset siezure, and liquidation of commensurate value of said property!

Nah, that wouldn’t work. The taxpayer would end up footing the bill for buying back their own property from the police…

Yeah, if this were to happen to any of us, we’d be kissing our present lives goodbye and resigning ourselves to a future of poverty, shame, and and utter alienation by almost everyone we know.

But, for the immediate family of the political aristocracy, this probably means a short largely symbolic stint at a cushy celebrity rehab center after which she’ll have to choose between obscurity or years of well paid speaking engagements and public service announcements.

I don’t wish any harm to Joe Biden’s daughter. I just wish all non-violent drug possessers would get the light-fingered treatment that she undoubtedly will get.

It would be “poetic justice” if Biden was caught doing coke. But Biden’s daughter was never a drug warrior.

We should not let malice overtake overtake our compassion, and if she is indeed guilty, we should hope for either no charge or probation, which is in fact is the usual course for 1st time non-violent offenders, even on the federal level.

Can’t wait to see what he says about this one. Seems like lots of people try drugs. And nothing bad happens to them until some idiot pulls out a camera and tries to make a few bucks. Or they get shot, killed, jailed, etc.

I predict Biden will end up benefitting from all this.

The Republicans will all rush to his side, to defend their fellow scumbag, and insist that everybody just leave the poor Bidens alone. I can already see Bishop Romney and Dive McCain on Hannity talking about what a personal tragedy this is and crying, “Leave the Bidens alo~~~ne!”

The MSM will rally around the Imperial Obamite White House, but the hard left will be tougher on Biden than any “conservatives” will be.

Biden will use the scandal to reverse his previous hard-line on drugs. That played well in Delaware, but won’t get “minority votes” for his 2012/2016 presidency [of course he's hallucinating if he thinks he'll ever be top banana in the White House, but he's dumb enough to keep hoping]. He’s been trying to reverse that in recent years, presenting himself as the “voice of reason”, calling for crack/powder sentencing parity and more treatment and less punishment. Perhaps that softening was also prompted by an awareness that his daughter could end up being Big Bertha’s jailhouse bitch one day…

He’ll also use this to make himself seem like a human being.

27 is awfully old to be doing lines at a house party when there are video cameras about. Especially when your daddy is the VP.

Of course, I fully support Ms. Biden’s right to recreate pharmacologically, and don’t think she should be prosecuted on such flimsy evidence (no proof that what she appeared to snort was cocaine) just to make a point…

…but since she is an adult, can someone please act like they’re going to investigate it for a few days, just so we can watch Joe twist in the wind a little?

Maybe Loony Lott’s thugs could borrow Megalo-Joe Arpaio’s tank. Also, do remind the SWAT Teams to seize all assets before they torch the house.

This is ironic and worth a little chuckle but ya know what? It’s really not funny anymore.

There are 6000 dead Mexicans near our southern border and that number is likely to grow. When the city council of El Paso, competently representing the citizens of that border town voted unanimously to include the mere suggestion of alternatives to more violence, the feds coerced them in to backing down when it came time to override the mayor’s veto.

The actions of the ruling class in regard to their silly assed war on what people choose to do are an abomination to the basic notion of freedom. Look you Bunch-O-Jerk-Offs, you can have your war on drugs, or you can have the Constitution. Any fool can see that the two are fundamentally incompatible. But it takes a special kind of fool to do what you evil, arogant, people have been doing for the last 30 years.

I would go as far as to term the majority of both houses of congress pre-meditated murderers. These selfish, spineless, immoral wimps know full and well that what they’re planning for Mexico will cost a ton of money, can not work, and will result in the needless deaths of thousands more, on both sides of the border.

When one of their ranks has the integrity and guts to actually do their job, and speak out against the drug war, they are ridiculed. It should be pretty clear by now that George W. Obama is just offering a little lip service to drug war opponents before throwing them under the bus again.

    There’s dumb.
There’s dumber than a door knob dumb.
And then, there’s drug warrior dumb.

But these bastards are not only dumb. They’re self serving, dishonest lying, thieving, murderers and should be treated as such.

Throw a shoe at them (first…)

There will be one day of navel-gazing by the press — “Should we even be covering stories like this? Sure, Joe Biden’s a public figure, but his daughter isn’t.” And they’ll drop it. Then they’ll go back to hyping the crap out of the latest baby Caylee/ Phelps bong/ etc. tabloid b.s.

She has, for 27 years, been the willing benficiary of her father’s corruption. She’s like the wife of a mob boss who, while not personally participating in his crimes, is perfectly happy to look the other way while enjoying all the wealth and influence those crimes pay for.

What made me angry, right off the bat, was the fact that this dirt-bag could not sell his video. But, the dick that sold Phelps’s picture had no problem!?

She is a shining example as to how her “use” was not abuse or addiction. Is she not , still, working and a productive member of society?

So far as the fallout for her father… I could not have happened at a more opportune time, to a more deserving fellow!

Sad thing is, it is also going to be a prime example as to how the “elite” are treated differently than us peons! Justice? In one way yes. In the other,no! My wife is a felon, for writing her own pain prescription, (yes, it was wrong) that was denied by her “treating” physicians! But, Bushes’ daughters? Money and power, apparently, buys “justice “

Unfortunately, that seems to be the only way that many social authoritarians learn, be it a drug warrrior, an anti-homosexual preacher or a vigorous oppponent of abortion. When there kid gets caught, comes out or gets pregnant, the world changes because, of course, the world revolves around them and their perfect little angels.

Brian @16, our prisons are full of FIRST TIME non-violent drug offenders. Mississippi just passed a law to release many of them because they have no more room. Many, many were teenagers who were charged as adults and were subjected to mandatory minimums so had to take pleas. An example would be a 16 or 17 year old high school aged kid facing 15 years MM so taking an 8 year plea, 4 years probation and a $5,000 was a good deal. Plus a felony record upon release, no driver’s license and no ability to get a job. Also has to pay his parole officer $50 per month for a 15 minute visit where he administers a piss test and that’s about it. This is all over the country. If a teenager was ever picked up and charged with anything such as shoplifting or curfew violation, drinking, etc. that was held against them and were treated as a habitual offender in adult court leading to 15 year mandatory minimum sentences forcing unrealistic plea deals. I know some of you hate teenagers, but we were all there once.

to clarify, the teenager had to be charged and convicted to be an habitual offender in adult court. I know of a case where a kid stole chips from the H.S. cafeteria and that was held against him later in adult court. Some commit more serious offenses, granted, but these juvenile offenses lead to long prison terms when and if they ever get caught on a drug charge, or unfair plea deals and huge fines. Plus the teenagers spend years growing up with violent adult offenders and then after receiving no rehabilitation or help at all in the DOC are released, many times with violent tendencies they never had before they went in.

sure am looking forward to the hours & hours of snarky, “concerned” commentary from the MSM about this. 24/7; lots and lots of segues; lots and lots of letterman/stewart being all funny and shit about this till it’s been beaten to death. you know, just as would happen if the young woman in question had been named “bush”. or “palin”. or are such things no longer considered humorous when the person in question is connected to the proper, respectable party?

    #33 Pamela:
Correct, drug laws have always reflected the propensity of some in the middle and upper classes to keep what they view as a dangerous, teeming, “underclass” in line, and living up to “proper” standards of living. It should be noted that this “underclass” probably includes me and many Agitator commenters.

The fact that these laws most adversely effect the poor, minorities and young people is no accident. Those familiar with the debate leading up to the Harrison Narcotics Act (1914) know what I’m talking about.

Certainly offering to sell the video is primo douchebagiosity. But it raises an ethical problem. Given that the War on Drugs Sanity is evil, stupid, hypocritical and counterproductive, is outing the use by a close relative of a front line drug warrior beyond the pale?

On one hand, not ratting on others you party with is an implicit obligation in the illegal drug users community.

OTOH, all fair in love and war and cocaine and reefer users didn’t declare this war.
