A) don’t knock it till you try it! Admittedly, I’d probably adjust the ratio, or better yet just make some stuffed jalepenos or something.
B) seems like as good a time as any – made brown sugar bacon today (bake at 350ish, when starts to spit, sprinkle brown sugar on, cook till bacon done/sugar bubbly/brown – around 20 min works for me). Mmmmm.
Actually, these appeared on her show as a joke. A viewer came up with a way to fry butter after a friend told her it was impossible. They submitted it as an idea for a show. Not meant to be taken seriously, thank god. Although some people have made them from the website recipe and are actually complaining that they taste (gasp!) like biting into a stick of butter.
A 4 to 1 ratio of butter to cream cheese? They certainly don’t sound appetizing.
Paula’s Fried Balls? I prefer Nigella’s Fresh Melons. Much healthier.
Would you feel better if they put a bit of bacon in it? I know I would!!!
Ummmmm butter balls Arrrgggghhhhhhhh!
I think that was a bit of a joke, because Deen fries everything. Joke or not though, it’s almost believable coming from her.

Oh, and use thick-sliced bacon for the above.

#2 Right on.
Hell, I’m high and I wouldn’t eat those things.
They’re vegetarian prairie oysters.
Btw, read the comments section there.
Um, why bother?
Am I the only guy who cringed a bit when they read “fry balls” ?
I’m surprised she didn’t find a way to work in some mayonnaise.
Yuk. When I feel like careening towards fat-ass-dom and a heart attack I check out http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ for inspiration.
My fave is peanut butter and sliced dill pickle sandwiches.
That is no joke the sandwich is great.
