Little in the way of details right now, other than that the woman appears to be okay.

Right inner thigh? Hmmm. Femoral artery anyone.

Of course the deputy will be cleared of any wrongdoing.

His name is being withheld because he’s undercover? Hmmm. If I was her his name wouldn’t be withheld for long.

she never would’ve been shot if she hadn’t screamed when they broke her door down…

I don’t know yet about this one, the story so far is pretty short.

I am starting to feel suspicious about another deputy in the news.

Seems a bit coincidental that the “killer” who “committed suicide” only knew her a couple of weeks and had no known motive and yet the deputy ex-fiance (ex as in a few weeks) is not suspected? He could arguably have a motive and buddies to help plant the “suicide note”

    Stephen,

I agree! That is too coincidental for me. I hope they don’t drop the investigation.

    #1,Cappy,

A femoral artery wound with a 45 caliber Glock would likely result in a dead “perp”!? This was most likely a “flesh” wound, since, it says she was going to be OK. There is a lot of area to miss the artery (and any other vital structures) and still hit the thigh.

    #6, Michael–
All I think Cappy meant was that it could have easily killed her.

    ‘zactly.

You got … like 2 inches of leeway there. It could go bone, artery, or flesh…

What I wonder is, if it had gone artery, would they be all “Fuck! AMBULANCE NOW!!!! ” or would they ‘secure the scene’ first? You know… officer safety and all.

They’d let her bleed to death.

Maybe he thought he saw a dog.

It’ll all be fine though once it is discovered that he was acting within depart-mental guidelines and policies.

Not to threadjack, but here we have another “cop on steroids” story:

#4 Stephen, the story says “Police arrived at Agee’s house in Arlington, Tenn., Tuesday evening to question him in the case when they heard gunshots inside. They learned Agee killed himself in the presence of his parents, Thomas and Connie Agee.” So unless the parents are in on it (or the reporter is wrong)….

Or perhaps they threatened his parents into silence… ;)

After all, you have the police admitting that they were on the property when the guy was shot. It’s not uncommon for killers to initially confess merely to being in the vicinity when the crime was committed as their story starts to unravel.

Joking aside, it’s always a wise idea not to get involved with gang members whether they call themselves bloods, crips, or leo’s.

Ok, I’ll buy the suicide being real. Still waiting on him committing the murder. I didn’t notice that when I read it.

Just saying that there IS a another guy with a possible motive when they are saying that they guy who killed himself didn’t have any known motive.

I guess I’ve been lurking around here too long, anytime police are involved, I get suspicious.

If the cop was using a shotgun, it likely would have killed her! Why did she get shot in the first place? Why was there a discharge of the weapon? It was not clear to me. But, it was an accident!? As we know, it was, very likely, all the result of an escalation of the raid to a dangerous level through the use of unnecessary force!

No it was a pussy, err trained attack cat this time!

I find myself wondering when the day will come that a copy finds himself or herself dragged out of a patrol car and beaten, tarred and feathered, or just plain strung up by people finally fed-up with this nonsense.

Uhh, not a copy, but a cop. PIMF…
