Idol Blogging
Tuesday, March 10th, 2009Wish I had time to write more. But have at it in the comments section. Also, while I didn’t expect to hear “Going Back to Indiana,” I was surprised there weren’t more Jackson 5 selections. And no Billie Jean?
Here’s how I’d rank ‘em tonight:
Top Five:
Adam Lambert
Lil Rounds
Matt Giraud
Danny Gokly
Allison Iraheta
Bottom Three:
Anoop Desai
Megan Joy
Jorge Nunez

Adam Lambert seems like he’s in a whole ‘nother league. I predict that Megan Joy will get kicked off.
I’m going with Megan to stay.
Anoop, and Jorge may be singing a farewell song.
Am I the only one that is not falling from the rafters over men singing in falsetto all the time?
A man with a mans voice has no chance with the judges.
Elvis would not make it to Hollywood, but Tiny Tim would have tiptoed right in.
I really like Megan Joy, but yeah, she really sucked last night. Same as Anoop, though I like him a lot.
Jorge is just annoying — and don’t they have stylists? Why the hell hasn’t someone chopped off those bushes he has over his eyes?
Radley, next time a 13 year old girl guest blogs, could you give us a heads up?
Adam Lambert is a good singer but I hate hate hate how he feels like he needs to monkey with every other phrase in the song. And his take on the bridge of that song was horrendous.
I thought Megan’s Rockin’ Robin was very cute.
Overall while I had my doubts during the last three weeks of the final 36, the top 13 turned out very good performances over all last night.
Oh, and I’d guess there was no Billie Jean because David Cook did it last year (a cover of Chris Cornell’s cover of it) and it was one of his standout nights. So the singers were probably told to stay away or wanted to avoid a comparison to the reigning champion.
jesus people, take a joke. Best blog evah
Adam Lambert does need to tone it down a bit. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles the shows where the songs are more ballady and not high energy. This could be his fatal flaw.
I’m with you Balloon Maker, I do not understand why so many otherwise rational people watch and care at all about this annual karoke contest.
I hate Adam Lambert. Too over the top for me. Plus, I think he has too much experience to really be an “undiscovered talent”.
I still like Anoop, he had a bad night. I really liked Allison – a 16 year old with incredible talent. Although I was a bit taken aback with how comfortable she was singing such an adult song and working the stage!
I agree with the bottom 3 selections, although I think the cute blond factor will keep Meghan in the competition. I didn’t think her her Rockin Robin was that bad, but I can it not going over well compared to some of the better performances.
Maybe it should be re-named AMERICAN IDLE

Look inside yourself… the answer is probably very similar to the answer to this question:
Why would someone go to a free Weblog, see a headline, click to read the topic, then take the time to post a comment to bitch about how inane the topic is?
