A bar is private property. So, they have already banned drinking games on private property, just not on residences yet.

So, the proposed ordinance would “give county police the ability to request” that drinking games be moved indoors? This must be a misstatement. Surely the police have the power to ask a person to do a lot of things for the peace of the community (backing up a polite request with a threat is another thing entirely).

I’m not in favor of an outdoor beer pong ban, but this sounds like a neighborhood spat that’s gotten way out of control. Really, proposed ordinances? Websites and facebook groups? (Although I do admit that the artist did a good job with the Uncle Sam poster.) But c’mon guys– sit down and talk to each other for god’s sake.

We went through almost the exact same thing with drinking on the beach in san diego. Prohibition marches inexorably forward!

If I were the neighbor, my solution would be better: Grab some ping pong balls and join the fun.

His solution, which could only result in SWAT raids and dead dogs, is full of fail.
