    Wonderful!

On most any other news source, we’d already be inundated with anti-pit comments.

We had two starving, wormy, mangy six week old pit puppies dumped at our doorstep just over a month ago. Last week they were fat, shiny, healthy, and adopted by a wonderful lady with a 58 acre farm.

our firehouse is training a lab to be a support dog- it’s just unbelievable what this dog is going to be able to do for someone- turn on lights, open doors, take their shoes, socks and pants off, etc. it’s hard to be crabby when you live with a happy dog!

best wishes for merry christmas and prosperous new year to everyone

Great pictures, great link and a great Sports Illustrated article. I couldn’t stop until I’d read the whole article!

Glad that somebody finally put the target on PETA and especially HSUS that those two groups deserve. Both of those groups could give a shit about animals.

The article is pretty highly accurate. The only contention that I have is that there is a difference between aggression and being “game”.

I owned a Dogo Argentino for a number of years. Trained boar (catch) dog and went through Schutzhund training (failed, couldn’t track for shit). He’d been in a handful of spontaneous dog fights through his long life and he’s killed many a pig (not to mention cats). I’ve seen him sliced by boars and I’ve sewn him up again. Game, in layman’s terms, means the dog has little to no quit in him. When my dog would go in after a pig, the dog had no quit whatsoever. But did not have an aggressive bone in his body around people. Matter of fact, the attack work from Schutzhund is meant to be fun for the dog. This way you can turn him on and turn him off with a word.

As I said, there’s a difference between being aggressive and having game.

This also puts a different light on fighting dogs being highly aggressive towards people. Additionally, it shows that Vick was probably working with professional dog fighters as opposed to the street fighters.
