Cops are the same everywhere! Town I live in here in Canada, 7 cops go to arrest a guy on a mental health warrant, (he’s suicidal), shot him twice and killed him! I quess he pulled a paring knife on them. One cop actually said, “after I tasered, twice, him he came at me with the knife, thankfully a partner was there to pull me out of the way so we could shoot him!” The Polish guy in Vancouver is another fine example of the police being here to help us!!

but the right response is to cooperate and follow their instructions. You can always lodge a protest or hire an attorney after the incident is over.

Tell that to the kid who got shot in the BART. He seemed to have his hands up in the air and cooperating when the cops put him to the ground, put a knee in his back and then “accidentally”shot him in the back because the cop thought he was reaching for his Taser? Quite the mistake if you ask me….

In this case, we might be well guided by the actions currently taking place in Athens, Greece. Even in their case the police officers were arrested, the government apologized and people were still protesting. I am not from Galveston but I would hope someone in the community would be strong enough to unite EVERYONE, all of which I am sure are outraged, to engage in a peaceful protest and to lean on their mayor and elected officials. These are incidents that make you sick to your stomach, this government that is supposedly made up of ‘We the People…” are allowing this to happen by doing nothing.

the description given to the police was “three white prostitutes soliciting a white man and a black drug dealer.”

USA, what a place !!

Confuse a 12yo girl in her home door with a prostitute, beat her taken by the throat till produce black eyes while she shout “Daddy, Daddy” (the policemen thought that was calling her pimp?)… and after go to school and arrest her for assault.

That girl is traumatized for all her life. If in 5 years this girls takes a shotgun and kills 100 persons… I hope nobody be surprised…

I am with Freedomfan.

I believe I would be in jail or dead right now after having pulled my concealed 45 and shooting to death the three “officers”.

When you hear and read stories every day about abductions, kidnapping and rape of people (not just children) everywhere.

As a father of a 10 year old girl, I would hope to never be put in any situation where I would have to decide, but if it was me and mine or them, guess what?? There is no decision to be made.

I would be holding a smoking Smith and Wesson.

My heart goes out to that little girl and her family.

And shame on the police for not only their error, but for the ensuing cover up.
