You Shop, I Profit
Monday, December 1st, 2008Just a reminder to new readers, if you click on this link before you do any Christmas shopping at Amazon, I get a little commission off everything you buy, at no cost to you.
And if you buy a book, a compact disc, a movie, or any other item I recommend in my aStore, I get an even nicer commission.

Roughly, what are you getting in commissions from Amazon when people make purchases through the link? I’m sure it varies by product type, but I’m just curious about order of magnitude. 0.1%? 0.5%?
When ads don’t work try direct appeals to your audience. I like your style Balko, and I may just have to toss some cash your way.
I just bought “Old Crow Medicine Show” for my cousin using your link. It’s great stuff.
#1,
My Amazon commissions start at around 4% and have tiers based on quantity of items shipped ( I am usually around 6%). So I assume Radley gets the same.
I prefer the eBay affiliate program for a lot of things, but it really depends on what it is. For books and CDs, Amazon probably makes the most sense, especially for someone that is not a professional affiliate.
Here’s to capitalism.
