They’re way too emotionally invested in a show designed to create one album pop stars that nobody cares about a year later.

Although I will admit to being bummed that “Deadwood” got the axe.

    Radley,

I want to lodge a complaint. It is unfair that you can post videos of preteen girls on your blog and get away with it.

We don’t all have that luxury.

Thank you for that PSA, showing the consequences of allowing your daughter to have friends over for “American Idol” finales.

Unfortunately, I have the same reaction every time Rex Grossman throws a football.

Hmm… Pushing Daisies got the ax yesterday – same feeling…

Deadwood, Sopranos both rocked and now True Blood.
HBO does have some very good series over the last few years.
They are, and were some of the most involving TV.
My wife and I watch completely different types of TV other then those three series.

Yeah, Deadwood and Carnivale. I’m still incredibly bitter about Carnivale.

Remember that simpler time in your life? You weren’t jaded by disappointment, there wasn’t any cynicism. You could feel high on life’s blessings. Disappointments hit you like a freight train. Then we learned to guard ourselves. We put up walls to protect our feelings.

“Yes, Virginia, there is no Santa Claus.”

Bless their hearts. That’s pretty funny. I hope they think so in forty years.

    Perfectly said.

That’s how I would’ve reacted had John McCain been elected President.

Same here (Rome too!). But they picked up the pilot for Song of Ice and Fire, which has huge potential.

It’s salty ham tears, all over again.

It’s been *weeks* since I last savored the crushing disappointment of a little girl this way.

Josh, totally know what you mean about Rex Grossman.

This was my reaction when I realized The Wire wouldn’t even get an Emmy NOMINATION. bastards wouldn’t know good TV if it hit ‘em over the head.
