Two, Please

I am so going to see this:

Landless Theatre Company presents the Washington premiere of President Harding is a Rock Star. Written by Seth Jarrow, the Obie Award-winning playwright behind A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant, this absurd musical chronicles the meteoric rise and scandal-plagued downfall of President Warren G. Harding in glam-rock style, complete with gambling, adultery, and giant poisonous crabs.

It’s getting good reviews. But it sounds like the kind of play that would be wonderful even it were really terrible.

I’ve seen it. It is just as good as it sounds. And awfully generous to the legacy of Warren G. Harding.

Also Herbert Hoover, although it treats him like the Screech of the Harding administration.

If it’s half as much fun watching stoned as The Reindeer Monologues, prepare to rupture yourself laughing.
