Andre de Gruy

Last week, the Jackson Free Press ran a nice profile of Andre de Gruy, who heads up Mississippi’s Capital Defense Counsel. It’s some much-deserved public praise.

He’s one of the best defense attorneys in Mississippi, and worked a long time to help bring about the exonerations in the Kennedy Brewer and Levon Brooks cases.

    I am a bit behind on your articles and was catching up. (Was visiting some of the post-conviction office clients who are on death row in Mississippi.)

    Andre de Gruy certainly does deserve accolades for his work in Mississippi. Thank God for decent, honest attorneys like him who work at Mississippi’s Capital Defense Office as well as Vanzetta Williams and Stacy Ferrero.

    These folks have their work cut out for them. (a lot of ‘Steven Hayne’ cases too). They need prayers, praise and support.
