More on B.J. Lawson

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

My colleague Dave Weigel has a firsthand report on North Carolina GOP congressional candidate B.J. Lawson. Lawson’s basically a libertarian, and seems to be an articulate, charismatic one at that.

Unfortunately for Lawson, it looks to be a bad year for GOP candidates of any stripe. But here’s hoping this guy finds himself in public office sometime, no matter what happens tomorrow.

See Dave’s report on North Carolina’s LP gubernatorial candidate Mike Munger, too. Munger’s also a budding star.

Maybe the GOP would have done better if MOST of them hadn’t backed Bush’s bigger, better, more intrusive, government BS.
Other than higher taxes, basically everything I worried would happen if the Dems ever got control happened under Bush and 6 years of complete Republican control. To me it’s inexcusable.

    “Lawson’s basically a libertarian …”

    Shades of gray.

When does a few grains of sand become a pile?

I suspect that BJ will be president someday. He’s that good.
