Bob Dylan’s “Mississippi,” a song that gets in my head every time I head down there.

Get the album here. There’s also a really nice stripped-down version on the new Dylan bootleg double CD.

I really love that song. It always reminds me of December of ’01 when I listened to that album all the time and was a real “Tale of Two Cities” kind of time for me, which the song seemed to fit very well.

Ahhh, that’s my favorite song off the album. Love and Theft just makes me think of my mother, as she often subjects me to it. I do not protest.

I first noticed on “Things Have Changed” and this continues my thought… the boy has actually learned how to sing over the years.

It’s still his voice, and he certainly still pens amazing tunes, but I find them much more listenable nowadays.
