The Race Right Now
Monday, September 15th, 2008My map below. Since the Palin pick, McCain seems to have secured the states he’s supposed to win (Indiana, North Carolina, Georgia, the Mountain West), and returned the battleground to where many thought it would be all along–in places like Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.
McCain’s electoral lead is paper-thin, and could flip with a change in his less-than-the-margin-of-error leads in Nevada, Ohio, and New Mexico. But he clearly has the momentum, and Obama’s now forced to defend his own thin leads in states where he was once comfortably ahead–states like Minnesota, Michigan, Washington, and Wisconsin.
I’m sure this will all flip a couple of times more before November. We have four debates and six weeks of forced narratives and manufactured scandals ahead.

Don’t you have anything… freedom-oriented to talk about?
Obama is slipping! The American people have proven once again that pretension and elit-wait a second….
McCain is slipping! The American people have proven once again that cronyism and elit-no, wait again.
Obama is slipping! The American people….
Eh, I dunno. I think there are a lot of intangibles right now, such as Obama’s ground game. Though the polls don’t reflect it, I’m tempted to give him the advantage in any state where he’s within 4 points of McCain, simply on ground game alone.
We interrupt this meaningless political distraction with the urgent news that Richard Wright has died:

Other intangables are the “hidden racisim” effect that is being discussed, in that people who will not vote for Obama are not telling pollsters for fear they will be judged racist ( even by a stranger ).
And from other things I’ve read, Pennsylvania should be pink, not blue.
C’mon Radley…can we get anything from you about actual Libertarians or are we gonna have to put up with more Rep/Dem BS for the entire election season? Both parties are going to erode our freedom. Who cares who going to do it faster? Let’s get some serious Libertarian discussion going..I look to you to help us out in that department…please don’t disappoint!
Whatever happened to Bob Barr’s lawsuit in Texas virtually winning all of the electoral votes there because of the filing deadline?
