Sunday Evening Dog Blogging: Big Ol’ Puppy Edition
Sunday, September 7th, 2008Today, we dog-sat for Megan McArdle, which let allowed her eight-month-old, 80-pound English mastiff Bartleby give Isabel an afternoon workout. They had fun. Harper wasn’t much interested.
A few more photos after the break.

You libertarian bloggers sure are incestuous.
But not incestuous enough that you know how to correctly spell each other’s names, apparently.
Fixed, thanks.
Radley, is “Bartleby” a reference to the rat creature of the same name in the Bone books?
Wow. That’s some really great photography.
Bartleby is a handsome canine. English mastiff? He looks a good bit more like a bullmastiff to me, but what do I know?
I thought English Mastiff’s were much bigger, along the ‘humongous’ lines. A female Bull Mastiff used to live across the street from me and was a great dog, looked mean as Hell, but was actually very gentle, particularly with kids. No matter what they did, she took it in stride, with a long-suffering look that asked “Are they ever gonna grow up?”
I seem to recall that Megan’s last dog past away so this very well might still be a puppy…and 80 pound puppy. I know my rottweiler definitely was at one point an 80 pound puppy.
