Just Bill Me, Baby
Friday, September 5th, 2008People calling a federal phone number to order duck stamps are instead greeted by a phone-sex line, due to a printing error the government says would be too expensive to correct. The carrier card for the duck stamp transposes two numbers, so instead of listing 1-800-782-6724, it lists 1-800-872-6724. The first number spells out 1-800-STAMP24, while the second number spells out 1-800-TRAMP24.
People calling that second number are welcomed by “Intimate Connections” and enticed by a husky female voice to “talk only to the girls that turn you on,” for $1.99 a minute.
I know y’all can come up with better puns than my headline.

How about “I got (telephonically) screwed by the government”?
“Talk to the Tramp Stamp”
Hell why not Tramp Stamp…that is the term for all those lower back tatoos tramps…err girls find so popular now.
Damn you Mike Leatherwood…damn you to Hell!!
TBH yours is better.
I said duck stamp, not **** a tramp!!!
“Wannaduckhunt?”
Say it really fast.
Wanna duck?
It’s not all it’s quacked up to be.
“Oh, duck me.”
I’m from the government and I’m here to help.
Well … fuck a duck!
I can’t top the old SNL joke (1975 prices, BTW):
“The Postal Service has issued a stamp commemorating prostitution. The stamp costs 10 cents, but if you want to lick it, it’s a quarter.”
Coming up next: Jimmy Carter secretly touches Negroes.
Just lick it and stick it.
I wonder if this is the duck stamp Marge Gunderson’s husband designed?
When, oh when, will bureaucrats figure out that this is done on purpose.
1. Figure out what 800# the gov has/will advertise.
2. Gobble up all the #s that are possible mistakes from dialing it.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Test this theory using any government 800# you find.
You know what pisses me off? When I hunt ducks or geese or even dove or woodcock I have to buy federal permits. I maintain the habitat so that the dove and such can reproduce and thrive yet they make me buy a permit to hunt on my own land. Thankfully the state gives you free permits for deer and turkey but it really chaps my ass that I am required to buy permits to take the animals that I provide the habitat for.
