Hmmm, Rachel Hoffman was selling $35k of pot a week…oh these lying mother fuckers. She was selling within her group of friends and probably not much outside that small circle. Have these douche bags from TPD been watching “Weeds” too much or what? Seriously, if they got my daughter killed over fucking low level pot sales and then tried to fuck with her rep to save their incompetent asses I would be a thorn in the side of that department for the rest of my existence.

OK, let’s humor you for a moment. With Teddy’s wonderfully good health, I suppose you’ll get you chance to see if he really should be a senator…….I’m guessing he won’t go anywhere near that seat….. but I may be mistaken.

This reminds me of the Batman TV series where they used to stand in Commissioner Gordon’s office and talk about the joker’s latest dastardly deed for 10 minutes, then suddenly Batman would look at Robin and say “quick Robin to the batmobile, there is no time to waste”.

Barney Frank, D_MA- gay, one of the country’s senators that makes sense most of the time. How did this happen?

John Sunnunu, R-NH- a senator who does not vote per party affiliation, one who surveys his constituents before voting, one who is helpful with issues. One who is financially conservative. How did this happen?

Anyone else have a Senator from their state that acutally does his job?

Nancy Lebovitz – Barney Frank (D-MA) recently sponsored, with Ron Paul (R-TX) as a co-sponsor, a marijuana decriminalization bill. Frank even said, “The vast amount of human activity ought to be none of the government’s business. I don’t think it is the government’s business to tell you how to spend your leisure time.”

So yeah, anti drug-war politicians from the major parties are few and far between, but there are a few.

Interesting op-ed about Bruce Ivins. A New York Times article (“Pressure Grows for F.B.I.’s Anthrax Evidence”, August 5, 2008) strongly contradicts it (but still doesn’t accept the FBI’s official version).

The right wing isn’t the sole support of the war on drugs. This is a bi-partisan atrocity.

A while ago, I asked if there were any left-wingers opposed to the war on drugs (I knew about libertarians). I was given some names, but they were all comedians. There weren’t any politicians.

1 – An op-ed is just that – someone’s opinion.

2 – That evidence thing works both ways. “New claims” are just that – claims. Just because someone says it, doesn’t make it so.

3 – Just because someone says it – this time in a book – still doesn’t make it so. Again, there’s that evidence thing you speak of. And the simple answer to your question: “Surely all of these journalists can’t be lying, can they?” is “YES. They do it all the time. And a journalist with an agenda is usually the worst case.

Those are great photos, but it’s not high saturation, it’s called HDR, High Dynamic Range, photography, which usually requires multiple shots of the same scene, layered together via photoshop.
