The sign of the times is “please update your flash player”? Who woulda thunk it…

The sign of the times is that my company’s web filtering software blocked that as “Gambling”

The sign of the times is what was done to my son…that has caused our family immeasurable grieving…pain…and sorrow.

Same for my company’s web filtering.

I don’t even know what to say about it – other than I am disturbed.
For those of you who work for censorship companies, the video is about a SWAT team breaking down doors into three separate apartments. The first one is full of drugs & money, SWAT says “wrong one”, the second is full of weapons (again, a wrong door), they hear poker chips, break into another apartment and arrest a guy sitting at his computer playing poker.
The more I think about it, the more disturbed I am. I think it was supposed to be funny, but it is not.

is the message, “Our consensual crime is not as bad as the other consensual crimes…”? or, “It’s ridiculous to arrest us gamblers when REAL victimless crimes are occurring all around us.” or, “Look at how police departments deal with your vices!”

good clip, too bad they don’t focus on whacking government for all intrusions into our privacy.

Radley better hope he never gives the police any excuse to get arrested. They are waiting for you Radley.

You better drive 40 in a 45 MPH zone.

If you ever get arrested, we’ll be told either you died trying to escape; were killed by another prisoner named the Booty Bandit; or, committed suicide by hanging yourself from the sink with a hand towel.

They want to snuff your two dogs, too.

Doing 40 in a 45? Hell, the cops will lie on reports and say he was doing 60 in a 30, and therefore the high speed chase was justified, the spike strips were justified, and that led to Radley’s vehicle swerving out of control and crashing into a wall and killing himself. Because he killed himself, no one is accountable but Radley.

He better travel everywhere accompanied by a priest, a rabbi, and a pastor, to cover all the bases.

Maybe an imam thrown in for good measure.

it is ironic that the premise of the video is that poker isn’t a “bad” consensual crime like drugs. i wonder if Pablo Escobar would have been opposed to online betting.

    Mrs. C,
I was not familiar with the incident mentioned at your posted link
    http://www.justiceforsal.com/

Reading about the incident was increadibly maddening. The actions of the Fairfax police and government officials are outrageous and criminal.

There was no link to contact you at your website. I am interested in the status of the case. Is there anyway to receive an update?

    HAHAHAHAAAA!

    HAAAAA!

I’m sorry, I don’t feel bad for you at all. I work here and warnings like that are incredibly frequent. In fact theagitator was blocked for a long time because it was categorized as “chat”

They lost me when they showed all the exotic, ridiculous knives, as though “hey, these scary looking knives should be illegal, not poker!”
Won’t get my sympathy by throwing other freedoms under the bus.

#17 In the last year we have done our own investigating…have been to court several times…all pre-trial related…and are currently addressing the updating of the justice site…as we wait on the court…to get back to us.

The legal system moves slowly…but we are patient…and will honor our promise to our son…and do what we must…to seek justice…in his behalf…and for all those…who could possibly find themselves… where we are today…if we do not hold accountable…those… whose unjust and senseless…protocols and policies…permit excessive force tactics…to be used…where they are unnecessary and unwarranted…and can lead to…the same tragic end…and grief…that we live with each day…and that has changed our family…forever. Sal is very loved…and missed…by all of us who knew him…and whose lives he touched.

If you are so inclined…there are hot buttons…at the end of each entry…on the justice site…where one may leave comments…to us…and to county officials…expressing your thoughts…opinions… and concerns.

Thank you for caring…and for your interest.
