CA grows it, CA regulates it, CA doctors prescribe it, CA citizens consume it. Yet the Federal Gov’t's authority to seize it, arrest and prosecute CA citizens derives from the Commerce Clause of the Constitution, the clause that grants Congress the power to regulate INTERSTATE commerce.

Vioxx, and Phen-Phen can kill or permanently damage the health of our citizens and that’s okay. God forbid someone use something not approved by the FDA to feel better. How terrible a person must be to not trust our medical community!

It would be a dear dream to me if we saw Governor Schwarzenegger mobilize the California National Guard to counter the DEA’s actions in violation of state law. Just imagine the sight of state agents upholding the rights of the individual and opposing the violation of Californian sovereignty that the DEA commits as it maliciously pursues anyone daring to defy their vilification of a drug far more harmless than legal alcohol. I seriously doubt however that any state would run the risk of losing federal money by standing against those thugs.
