I have no more defend McCain’s hypocrisy re drug laws than I defended Clinton’s hypocrisy re sexual harassment laws (unlike some others).

I believe anonymous was trying to answer to the comment by PS. McCain has sons in the military, although I don’t think at the time of the vote. The comment by PS about Congressman not having children in uniform at the time of the vote is not particularly relevant to this thread though.

Yeah, he’s the guy who advocates stricter drug laws, except when it comes to his wife, who stole drugs from a charity and was an addict while raising four small children. If you’re not a senator (or prominent judge’s) wife, you’re going to jail, or at the very least your kids are going to get taken away.

And I don’t recall anyone complaining about Bill not sending Chelsea to Iraq or Serbia in 1998-1999.

Rings similar to the investigations done revealing that not a single congressman who voted for the war in Iraq had a son/daughter in uniform.
