Strictly speaking, the St. Paul Saints aren’t a minor league team, as they’re in the Northern League, which is unaffiliated with the organized minor leagues tied to MLB.
This bobblefoot is more a good example of why you should love the Veecks. The Saints are owned by Mike Veeck; he and his father have always done zany promotions with the baseball teams they’ve owned, whether this one, minor league teams such as the Charleston RiverDogs (which Mike Veeck used to co-own back when I lived there in 2000), or the major league teams (including the Indians and White Sox) Bill Veeck owned in the 50s through 70s.
Minor league (and, I expect, independent league) baseball is kind of lovable in its own right, though.
That is funny! I’ve got a couple of those and now I am thinking of putting them up for sale myself. (Last time I checked a couple of them were over 100 dollars!)

Average selling price is closer to $75.
