Chicago Bleg
Wednesday, May 14th, 2008If anyone has connections to Chicago Mayor Richard Daley’s office and would be willing to exploit them so I can interview him to help with a story I’m working on, please email me. It’s sorta’ last minute.
Also, I’ll be in Chicago this weekend. Thinking about doing a public Agitator.com meet-up Friday or Saturday. More details if and when that happens.

Sorry, no hook up with Da Mayor. However, I’m definitely game for a Chicago meetup on Friday.
Daly is an avowed socialist.
There is little anyone can learn from him.
Except an admission of his socialism, which every American politician denies, contrary to the truth.
Well–Ron Paul the likely exception.

Does this have anything to do with Foie-Gras?
I’ll be in Chicago this weekend and would be interested in a meet up. My sister is graduating from Kent Law.
Would be a pleasure!
Radley,
We should definitely do something this weekend. There’s a pretty good libertarian/free-market scene up here (I’m with Sam Adams Alliance, and occasionally use your work as leads for a website we’re building called Judgepedia.org; there’s also AFF and Heartland), and there might be a lot of interest in that, if you can supply the when and where quickly enough. Shoot me an email if you need some help picking a good place.

Socialist? I thought he was a Republican. I wish I could help with Da Mayor contact thing, but uh, no connections.
I would love to meet you though. Where are you going to be? I can bring some transcripts if you wish.
Interesting. My wife and I will be in Chicago this weekend as well. I’ll keep an eye out for anything planned…
I’m really enjoying jb’s comment at #2. Daley’s an “avowed socialist,” but an admission of this socialism would be big news since he’s sure to deny it? Really odd, and entertaining, since to avow is to “acknowledge openly, boldly, and unashamedly.”
Meanwhile, the only American politician who’ll admit to his own socialism is….Ron Paul??
If jb is always this funny, I want more.
