The leave-us-alone anthem “Shelter Me,” by Cinderella. It’s off the vastly underrated 1994 1990 LP “Heartbreak Station.” Hey, you got your sax solo in my hair rock! Well, you got your hair rock in my sax solo!

Heartbreak Station is still a staple of my playlist. Once Cinderella got away from the hair metal cliches of their debut album, they put out a several bluesy hard rock albums that were criminally under appreciated.

I know a guy who called that record “Bankbreak Station”, because when that tour stiffed, it was the last nail in the coffin of his stage lights company.

    It was too bad.

Heartbreak Station, I am pretty sure, came out in 1990.

Still Climbing came out in 1994.

    Love it regardless.

It would be very un-Libertarian of me to make a law against this stuff, but I’m tempted!!!

If the song was used in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, I might like it more. As it is, listening to that guy sing is only mildly preferable to fingernails on a chalk board.
