This is indeed a hoax. Someone programmed a bot to visit homosexuality-related pages on the site and drive up their hit count.

Nota Bene: If you Google search “homosexuality”, the Conservapedia page for it is the 2nd main result listed. This would account for the high number of pageviews for the homosexuality article relative to the site’s main page.

The Beckhams’ high placements really baffle me, though.

A little statistical perspective here:

1.Main Page ?(2,593,488 views)
2.Homosexuality ?(2,391,500 views)

Assuming all searches and uses begin at the main page (which mayor may not be true), 92.2% of the visitors searched for “Homosexuality”.

The saddest thing is that Lindsey Graham and Gary Bauer conducted 84.4% of all of those entries. That could be wrong too tho’.

I don’t think “conservapedia” is suggesting that Beckham is gay, there must be a lot of conservative soccer fans. Although, with all the links to anti-gay arguments I can how someone would make that error.

The “compensate much” tag seems to hit it on the head. Is there a lot of self-loathing gay conservatives out there?

To me, the most hilarious one is “David Beckham.” I suppose there could be a number of legitimately straight conservative guys that just hate homosexuals — but then they go and looking for David Beckham pictures? Something doesn’t wash.
