Everyone is commenting on the money being seized but no one has mentioned how little money it was. Doesn’t the fact that they only seized six grand give the lie to the idea that they’re doing this to save families from losing their house and such?

As much as I hate a bunch of the socialist and nanny-state aspects of California, this sort of stuff isn’t happening here. I wonder why that is? I’m asking a real question here…what’s the difference between LAPD (or San Diego, San Jose PD, etc) and Houston’s PD that they feel the need to raid a stupid poker game?

I think we see that the quick cash is the reason for these raids. Six grand here, twelve grand there and it starts to add up. Packratt is correct – they were robbed.
