33

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Okay, so Jesus had started what would become the largest religion in the world by the time he turned the age I turned today.

But my brother tells me Wikipedia says I’m a “notable alumnus” of my alma mater!

So, I’ve got that going for me.

Other notable birthdays/anniversaries today: Suge Night, Ashley Judd, Waco, the Oklahoma City bombing, Frank Viola, Al Unser, Jr., Eliot Ness, the late Dudley Moore, Jayne Mansfield, Rivaldo, Kate Hudson, and Maria Sharapova.

You’re a “notable alumnus.” Alumni is plural, and I will go to my grave yelling at people who do that.

Hope you have a good one. I’m at the big 3-5 myself. It’s all downhill from here.

    Happy birthday!

To cheer you on, here is what Byron wrote on his 33rd

” Through life’s road, so dim and dirty,
I have dragg’d myself to three and thirty.
What have those years left to me?
Nothing, except thirty and then three.”

    Have a good one

Happy Birthday, brother! You’re living proof that wisdom isn’t proportionate to years logged on earth. Keep up the good work.

Happy Birthday, for one, and keep up the great work.

Two: nitpicky, but it was really Jesus’s followers who did all the work. He pretty much just wandered around and told stories.

Brilliant song by comedian Heywood Banks, the entirety of the lyrics:

“I am older than a lot of famous dead guys, a lot of famous dead guys were younger than me when they died.”

    So, yeah, don’t feel bad.

    Happy Birthday Radley.

I always think of the Agitator when Paine writes:

“I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy. “
