Comment of the Day….

…goes to the charming, perceptive “Arthur Chalinsky,” who responds to the post immediately below this one:

hahaha

So am I reading this right? The right wing moron who runs this site thinks this clip is actually made by Ben Stein, rather than what it really is… Richard Dawkins’ parody of mindless people like Stein, they guy who runs this blog, and every other right winger on the planet who deny reality and science in favor of state sponsored superstition?

Classic.

Like when Tom Delay thought Stephen Colbert was actually sticking up for him.

It’s funny when conservatives show how ignorant they really are. Now quick, delete this to the memory hole and tell us you knew it was parody. Because, of course, you are smart enough to think for yourself.

ahahahahahahaha

losers.

After seeing that first-time commenters require approval, he adds:

oh how lame, but how am I surprised?

You have to approve every comment manually, so you don’t get made to look like an ass on your own blog every day. How pathetic can you get?

Let me guess, mine doesn’t get approved, and your post gets removed. Must suck to be ignorant for a living. But look on the bright side, at least you’re doing a terrible disservice to society.

Well played, sir.

How much do you want to bet he stumbled across the post because the title contained “Sex?”

Highly abrasive, highly presumptive, and way off base. The troll trifecta.

Best part. I could almost feel ol Arthur Chalinsky’s smug self satisfaction for sticking it the right-wing, fundie, close minded site, like the agitator.

Hopefully having embarrassed Radley so thoroughly Art will be internet-comment-truth-crusading somewhere else from now on.

Arthur needs to hone his drive-by commenting skills.

I’m really confused by this whole thing, I’m sort of unfamiliar with Ben Stein, although I know who Richard Dawkins is. I watched the trailer and it didn’t make too much sense to me, can someone explain please?

Twenty bucks says this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Chalinsky was authored by Chalinsky himself. And on a side note, it appears his awesomely brilliant blog has been suspended for violating wordpress’s terms of service. Society’s loss, I guess.

    etp-

There’s a “documentary” called ‘Expelled’ coming out today, starring Ben Stein, about the supposed way that academia silences voices on creationism intelligent design, starring Ben Stein. The trailer parodies the trailer for Expelled quite well. If you want the real site, go to http://www.expelledthemovie.com . If you want a great fisking of everything in the movie, go to http://www.expelledexposed.com

Well, I for one hope he hasn’t been embarrassed into fleeing the site. After the fits of depression I get from reading example after example of increasingly intrusive and flagrant government abuses of liberty, a wit like his is perfect for putting me in better humor.

There are many good reasons to make fun of that nut job, Arthur Chalinsky–such as his lack of a sarcasm detector or his laughably ignorant labeling of the owner of this blog. But making fun of his name is lame, as was the person who derided Radley Balko for his name. I believe that particular e-mail or comment was posted up here several months ago, to the great mirth of regular readers.

I hope Arthur Chalinsky comes back; I quite enjoy watching an arrogant a**hole put both feet in their mouth.

“Arthur Chalinsky (born April 2, 1972) is a Canadian political activist, journalist, and author. He is best known for his controversial 2006 book Uncritically Thinking, and his weblog. He has also penned editorials for several publications, in which he condemns, among other things, what he terms the “population exploitation industries”.”

I’m guessing this could be boiled down to “Authur Chalinsky is a unemployed Canadian who is not known by his book, Uncritically Thinking as no one ever bought or read it. He also has submitted unsolicited editorials for several of the finer free porn literature one commonly finds distributed on the street.

Not the sharpest tool in the drawer. Then again, maybe from where he is standing, Radley IS a right wing conservative?
