Saturday, March 29th, 2008…or confirming, actually. Two Dutch students prove one I’d never heard–that it’s impossible to pull apart to interwoven phone books. Via this interesting history of the phone book at Slate.

Would it be cheating to pull less and shake the ropes up and down a bit? Seems like that would work. Also - it’s a wonder that line of perforation held as long as it did.
