Dog Cleared of a Being a Dog

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

Owner won’t be charged for his dog attacking cops during drug raid. Happened in Britain, which may have something to do with why the dog isn’t dead. Money quote:

PC Clark admitted the scene had been peaceful until officers smashed the door down.

I find it interesting that they didn’t find any drugs at the house in connection with the raid. It’s the last sentence of the whole story, how come the dog is bigger news? I really hate that about the media. You’d think incorrect police information would be a bigger issue.

As long as it doesn’t happen to them personally, most people just don’t give a shit when storm troopers smash down doors in the middle of the night and terrorize their neighbors.

But the public might be less inclined to accept the killing of defenseless pets.

That, by itself, is a pretty sad state of affairs.

Reminds me of the Chris Rock bit, where he’s talking about the tiger that bit Siegfried & Roy. He says “that tiger didn’t go crazy; that tiger went tiger!”
