Back in the late 80s, early 90s, I heard a claim of this being done in the US, except police just slowed traffic down instead of stopping it and evacuating the drivers. The person making the claim said he was rear-ended and injured in the incident.
Isn’t the “War Against Drunk Driving” supposed to *prevent* innocent people from being hit by the drunk driver?
The police could have achieved the exact same result by doing nothing.
Forget about MADD, don’t let the department of Homeland Security hear about this one. How to stop terrorist attacks? Blow up the targets ourselves before the terrorists get a chance to!
“I commend the police for doing whatever it takes. Collateral damage is just an unfortunate reality in the War on Drunk Driving.”
What ever it takes for what? To bring back Prohabition? Why don’t you wake up and realize that MADD is nothing more than a business. You have a group at the top that are pulling down six figure incomes by running one of the largest scams in history. I think it is pretty bad when the founder of MADD is now activly working against it. People are finally waking up and realizing what MADD is about. There is gaining momentum in several states to lower the drinking age to 18 and to put the BA level back at .12. You can only push so long and then people will start pushing back.
At least these guys were publicly rebuked. There’s now more police accountability in Minsk than in Albany.
I think MADD would work just fine as human roadblocks.

“Publicly rebuked”….now that’s harsh. They should be lucky they weren’t lashed with an actual wet-noodle.

Too much. I’m watching this clip, waiting for it to be some kind of a joke!

This is ridiculous almost to the point of unbelievability. I kept waiting for the Onion News Network anchor to come on…
