Mmm..Tobacco-y
Saturday, March 8th, 2008Last night, we went to Counter Culture Coffee’s D.C. office to see World Barista Champion James Hoffman speak and make his signature drink.
I missed most of the lecture (damned Adams-Morgan parking), but I did get to sample the winning drink. It’s a shot of espresso infused with tobacco, rosemary, hazelnuts, almonds, and chocolate, topped with a biscotti-flavored foam. It was quite tasty. That it was a little un-P.C. (you know, the tobacco and all) made it extra tasty. Hoffman said he came up with the drink after asking people what the most enjoyed with their coffee, and finding that chocolate, biscotti, and cigarettes were the most common answers.
I’d imagine a few of them would pack quite a punch.

I have to say, that sounds disgusting.
Of course, I don’t like coffee. Or cigarettes.
Now if only they can come up with a coffee flavored cigarette to go with it…
(hell there might already be such a thing)
I’m with Wesley. *gag*
I don’t like coffee, but I can’t imagine that infusing it with a neurotoxic pesticide would make it any better.
What? Why did you think plants produce nicotine?
there is a coffee flavored smoke actually…
I think Camel has it…

Yes, Nick, plants do produce nicotine.
You might remember eating brownies laced with THC? Same thing…
