We actually like Brooke White’s unplugged performance. It was what I’d expect a Carly Simon - Melissa Etheridge sire to do and we liked it.

Ramielle has big pipes, but her phrasing and pitch always, well, it just sounds weird. Perhaps its the way she pronounces things, but only while singing. She may have a heavier accent than she lets on, which doesn’t bode well for the white teen market.

Overmeyer suffers on stage because she isn’t very feminine. She is more butch than almost all of the male contestants. Which is why she resembles a 40 yo white male on stage instead of a 20s girl when it comes to dancing.

Thats true, if that is the reason she seems bothered. We were speculating on DI if maybe whats bugging amanda is cast issues. Amanda is extremely different from the rest of the contestants and shes rather introverted. I cant really see her hanging out with the rest of them so maybe they dont like her. One thing we did agree on is that something is seriously bothering her and it isnt minor.

You know, I’m actually not all that impressed with the women this season. Several of them just seem like the standard female artists we se every day, and I’m sure we’d all like something new. And I’m definately not happy that Carly was allowed to compete even with all of her previous industry experience. She’s already shown that she’s unlikely to make a successful album, so why should we be giving her a spot on the show?

I agree with you, Radley: I’m thinking Cooke and Malloy will be singing their last song tonight for the women. I’m betting Chikezie and Menard go home for the guys. Norriega and Overmeyer are protected by VFTW, (probably) keeping them in for another week.

I don’t think it takes a reputable source to scare the crap out of a girl. If she ever had a boyfriend take pictures of her, and then she hears that someone is shopping nude pics, she’s gonna be worried, no matter what the source of the news.

Simon must be one hell of a Celine Dion fan. With him, all songs covered by her are definitive and should never be sung again by anyone…ever.

I am just not overly impressed with any of the girls.

I would say that Brooke White was my favorite last night. My white trashiness came to the fore last night as I would choose Overmeyer as second best. Smithson would be third and after that they all just kind of mesh into an “if-you’ve-seen-one-you’ve-seen-’em-all” lump.

It’s the realization that the entire country is about to see pictures of her buck-ass naked. If you pay attention, you’ll notice America is similarly troubled for the exact same reason.

The good: Brooke White’s take on Love is a Battlefield was good. Ramiele is a great singer and comes across as very likeable.

Paula was a true gag last night. The producers must lose sleep before the live shows.

Now if you’ll just warm up to the inevitability of President McCain.
