It is pretty sad when you realize your tax money is going to pay for the diet regimens of fat people. Pay for your own gym membership, it’s not my responsibility! I think we have taken this whole “social contract” idea too far… Let’s take it a step further and have a government-funded Fat Camp. Wonder if you’re allowed to smoke there? Maybe as long as you’re at least 50 feet from the building, wouldn’t want to endanger anyone. But then again, the smokers are covered, because their lung cancer treatments and nicotine patches will be paid for out of taxpayers’ pockets soon enough… just like the Social Security checks paid out to the old people who are no longer allowed to have drivers licenses. It’s for the greater good! Oh, and anyone who knew full well that with a 490 credit score, they couldn’t qualify for an affordable home loan, but got one anyway and now are in foreclosure… don’t worry, we’ll bail YOU out too! After all, it is America’s responsibility to protect you from CAUSE AND EFFECT… and to give you a job. How dare companies pursue the goal of cost-effectiveness when they know you need a job?

Forget being smarter than a fifth grader, I just wish I could spell as well as one.

I’ve a friend who became morbidly obese after dual knee surgery. (Yes, she knows how unhealthy it is. But you try being bedridden for five months and see how much weight YOU gain.) In her situation, her excessive weight, coupled with the original problem, obviously qualifies as a disability. I can only assume that refusing to serve her would violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Or does the government think every person in the country should have access to other peoples’ private medical records?

Because these places will be unregulated, we will be able to get all types of food with trans-fats added to them (carrots, for example). A Cheeseburger and fries will cost $30, and federal agents of the FTF bureau (Fat, Trans-Fats, and Fried Foods) will raid these places regularly and hit the oil vats with axes spilling the oil out on the floor (while grabbing a little bit for themselves).

The good thing is, at least people will have somewhere to go to smoke….
