Falling Down

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

The FCC is fining ABC $1.43 million for showing a woman’s buttocks in select markets…in 2003. The infraction was during an episode of NYPD Blue, which by that time pretty much everyone on the planet knew occasionally showed light nudity, and could have been blocked by the V-chip.

I’ll defer to the Redwalls…

So when do the surviving ‘Match Game’ contestants get fined for glorifying marijuana in the 70s? Sir Charles Nelson Reilly died just in time (he glorified marijuana and brightly colored scarves, aka homosexuality. that’s a double whammy).

Drug use portrayal is ok, as well as street violence, psychopathic killings, and SWAT teams busting in with guns ablaze.
Nope, there are only two things that will bring an end to our glorious moral society: 1) George Carlin’s 7 and 2) nudity.

And here I thought the FCC might take a turn for the better once Colin Powell’s kid (who certainly didn’t inherit his old man’s brains) wasn’t in charge.

Oh well, at least this story gave me occasion to listen to a new band. Nice pick with the Redwalls.

Oh come come now. One of the main reasons I used to watch NYPD blue was because of the light nudity. lol
