With 1.4 billion people living in truly socialist countries worldwide and millions of others living in countries that adopt socialist-leaning policies, you’d have a tough time convincing me that socialism belongs in the fad class of zubaz pants and slap bracelets.
You may counter that your statement was referring to the Unites States, but it’s socialist foreign policies (free healthcare in many Europeans countries, for example) that push the unenlightened masses to ask for federal government-funded universal healthcare here. “They have it and we’re America - we should have it.” Bleh.
