Several weeks ago, a woman in Mississippi called me about her son, who I believe is in jail in Jackson. He was arrested for assaulting a police officer, then days later was charged in a separate murder case, thanks in large part to an autopsy done by Dr. Steven Hayne. She said her son’s been held in jail for several years, now, and has yet to even be assigned a public defender, much less given an actual trial.

In any case, among the the dozens of requests for help I received in the days following my articles on Dr. Hayne, I seem to have misplaced this particular woman’s phone number, as well as the notes I took during our conversation.
