  • The former Baltimore police commissioner is suing the city because, he says, after he was fired, the city sent a 50-man, heavily-armed SWAT team to remove him from office. Not sure what to make of this one.

  • You know, for a “non-lethal” weapon, a lot of people seem to be dying after getting hit with a taser.
  • Hoboken has disbanded its SWAT team. Looks like accidentally killing someone or raiding the wrong home won’t get you get disciplined, but posing with Hooters girls will.
  • Puppycide: Cop hears a dog barking, trespasses onto owner’s property to investigate. Dog runs toward cop, cop shoots dog. The dog’s in critical condition.
  • A 78-year-old man who was drug from his car and beaten by police in a Chicago hospital parking lot last year is now being sued by one of the officers for maligning the officer’s reputation. Police were cleared of all wrongdoing in the beating, though the man was also never charged, and was issued an apology by the county. Note also the allegations from hospital workers that police deleted cell phone video of the beating.
