Another pain clinic raided. Meanwhile the AP actually reported earlier this year that the state of Florida is too lax when it comes to preventing people from getting pain medication. Richard Paey, Mark O’Hara, and Penny Spence would probably beg to differ.
Cops on stakeout see 12-year-old kid running with a toy gun, and shoot him dead. No criminal charges. Even more disturbing are the comments in response to the article. “Kid shouldn’t have been out by himself at 9:50 pm.”
A second study by CDC researcher Katherine Flegal and her colleagues confirms the one they released two years ago: People who range from overweight to slightly obese on the government’s BMI scale are actually healthier than people the government says are “ideal” or “underweight.” And again, about the most unhealthy weight-related thing you can do is go on a diet. Which means all of these “public service” campaigns encouraging people to drop that last few pounds are doing more harm than good. Predictably, the hysterical nutrition activists are aghast.
