And Now, a Word From a Typical Ron Paul Supporter
Tuesday, November 6th, 2007So when a journalist writes a campaign story, particularly about an upstart, they generally profile some true believer they feel is typical of the candidate’s supporters. In the Washington Post story about Ron Paul’s cash infusion yesterday, the reporter chose to profile….a pro wrestler who takes the stage persona of a porn star.
This is apparently what comes to reporters’ minds eye when they think of your average Ron Paul voter. Using “Val Venis” as the intro to a story about Paul’s fundraising is even odder considering that the guy is Canadian, which means not only can he not actually vote for Paul, he was legally barred from being one of Paul’s 40,000 contributors yesterday.
