Villa La Angostura is a cozy little mountain town on the western border of Argentina, a few hours north of Bariloche. I liked it quite a lot. It has a kind of rustic feel, but with very modern restaurants, boutique shops, and hosterias. We stayed at a great hoteria with nice, clean rooms, free breakfast, and that was run by a charming, friendly family for $40 per night. The town’s also a sort of stopping point for fishing, hiking, biking, and several water tours and expeditions. That’s a bundled up Courtney you see in several of the pictures. We got a little each of summer, fall and winter in ten days of travel, as is evident in the photos.
