More Fun in B.A.: Cheap Drugs, No Scripts!
Thursday, May 17th, 2007I realized today that I left some prescription medication I needed back at home. So I bumbled my way to the pharmacy, and explained and gestured what I needed (the pharmacist spoke a little English). No prescription necessary. No doctor’s visit necessary. And my normally $45 medication cost me 10 pesos. Which is about three dollars and 25 cents. Which means I saved about $85, and lots of time. More fodder for my colleague Kerry Howley.
I didn’t go through the Argentine government, so I don’t think the low-cost is associated with the country’s socialized medicine. Though I could be wrong.
