Great episode of Penn & Teller’s Showtime show this week. The topic was immigration, and it featured commentary from my boss, Nick Gillespie.

I do think some of their approaches P&T take are little too dismissive and over the top to convince people who might be on the fence about some of these issues (though to be fair, I’m not sure conversion is what they’re aiming for). Their episode on the Bible was a little excessive, for example. I still think the show suffers from that from time to time. And I think Penn uses the word “fuck” way too often. I don’t find it offensive, just distracting.

But the last two episodes I’ve seen — this one, and the one on Wal-Mart — have really been outstanding. Also, Penn’s radio show is fantastic.
