Caught a few of you, didn’t I?

I have the emails to prove it!

I got the idea from John Stewart’s interview with John Bolton a couple of weeks ago. If you listen carefully, my spoof is basically what Stewart is suggesting — a federal bureaucracy that’s completely insulated from the political process. That’s a very scary prospect. And it’s unfortunate that we’ve gotten to the point where Stewart (and most of his audience) think it’s something we should strive for.

Never thought I’d find myself pulling for Bolton in a contentious interview. But Stewart really doesn’t understand how the executive works. Or at least how it’s supposed to.
