A raiding police team in Illinois recently broke into a woman’s home and shot and killed her black lab. They then forced the woman to spend the night in jail, still wearing clothes soaked with the dog’s blood.

What’s more, the investigation, raid, and subsequent arrest were for drug use–not even distribution (not that this kind of crap is justified for that, either).

It’s the second time in two days that drug police in the town have killed a dog. The local police spokesman insists the two incidents were “isolated.”
