I have a piece at reason that looks at the issue of atheism and the presidency.

I’d note that I don’t consider myself an atheist (I’m way too cowardly for that). I probably have more deist sympathies than anything.

But the idea that an atheist or nonbeliever isn’t fit for office is absurd.
