Pbbffffttt.
Saturday, February 10th, 2007Bill Simmons finally gets around to writing something about the Super Bowl.
He can’t even bring himself to give the Colts a proper congratulations. Instead he whines about how crappy the game was (he’s right, it was — and I suppose the Patriots would have figured out how to pull a graceful, elegant victory out of a South Florida downpour. Too bad they didn’t make it that far).
He ends with an ungracious count of championship rings (”Let us know when you get to three rings”). Of course, if you toss in MVP awards, Manning’s up on Brady 4-3.
I also think it’s funny that ESPN’s most prominent online columnist filed every day of Super Bowl week, but didn’t even bother attending the game.
