Dennis Prager Hates America

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

Dennis Prager, who unbeknownst to me is apparently “one of America’s most respected radio talk show hosts,” and has “lectured on all 7 continents” (!?), writes:

Keith Ellison, D-Minn., the first Muslim elected to the United States Congress, has announced that he will not take his oath of office on the Bible, but on the bible of Islam, the Koran.

He should not be allowed to do so — not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization.

James Joyner correctly offer Prager a lesson in constitutional law.

I say if Dennis Prager thinks allowing a Muslim congressman who openly ran as a Muslim to take his oath of office on a Koran is capable of “undermining American civilization,” then he has a rather low opinion of American civilization.

On the other hand, I hear Prager is huge in Antarctica.
