Add “mortage fraud” to the list of very dangerous crimes that merit the use of a SWAT team:

Police and SWAT team members converged on a home in Powell on Friday, and seized documents in relation to a white-collar crime investigation.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Olentangy Ridge Place at about 9 a.m., NBC 4’s Tacoma Newsome reported.

The search warrant was sealed, so police have not released many details, but did say that the investigation was economic in nature.

Neighbors said that two men moved into the homes four months ago, and had frequent visitors. After throwing tear gas into the home, officers removed records and other items from the home.

Sources said the investigation might be centered on mortgage fraud.

Better pay those overdue parking tickets.
