Self-Promotion: All Hudson Edition

1) My Fox column today looks at why the Hudson ruling wasn’t conservative, despite getting support from the Court’s five most conservative judges. Email responses this morning have thus far been disappointing. That may be because the Fox cable channel’s coverage of the case has been rather dismissive. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Perhaps if police had sent a SWAT team to arrest the Duke lacrosse players, Hannity & Co. would be more sympathetic.

2) Yesterday, I had a piece on the Reason website about those massive SWAT raids in Buffalo last April. As it turns out, police found even less dope than they had originally claimed.

3) I have a Cato podcast on the Hudson case this week, too.

4) Finally, the Sacramento Bee cites yours truly in an editorial condemning the ruling. That’s significant, because the Sacramento-Modesto area has been the site of more than its fair share of SWAT-related tragedy.
